Angel Persephone / Kamiko かみこ

You can call me Angel or Kamiko, I don't mind either way. My name is Angel, but my Japanese friends and readers of my work on AO3 call me Kamiko.

I am a self-taught artist who started drawing dark abstract art in 2021, then learned to draw simple kawaii line art in 2023, shortly before I launched my original character Demoji on Persephone's Boutique.

In 2025, I started teaching myself how to draw manga-style characters using tutorials from YouTube, and references from Pinterest, my own photos, and drawing books.

Later in 2026 I plan to spend a few months learning from artists online before I start illustrating the two novels I am currently writing.

I have been writing poetry and songs since I was six years old.

What I'm working on right now

I am always creating new art for my shop, Persephone’s Boutique, which includes Demoji artwork, witchy designs, stickers, planner products, and art for my Ko-fi members.

I am also writing a fan fiction called Reverberate (BNHA fandom) on AO3. I illustrate every single chapter as they are released.

My first DemojiWorld™ novel is due to be released in 2027, and an original spin-off story from my Reverberate series, featuring all my own characters, will also be released in the future.

I write poetry all the time and often match short poems to my abstract art.
